The Little art school

Founded in Paris in 2012 by interior architect and artist Stefania de Dampierre, a mother of four, The Little Art School is a place where classical art education meets creative freedom. Inspired by the refined French way of life in Saint-Germain-des-Prés—where art and culture fill the air—and the Finnish spirit of freedom and nature, Stefania’s teaching nurtures both tradition and self-expression.

At The Little Art School, students learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and composition, guided by classical techniques. Lessons are primarily in English, but children will also hear French and can be understood in Finnish, Swedish, and Russian. Art history, along with stories of famous painters, enriches the learning experience, providing context and inspiration.

Since 2015, The Little Art School has been welcoming students in Ullanlinna, Helsinki, offering regular art classes for children (ages 4 and up) and adults. Each summer, Stefania organizes art camps where children paint in nature, travel to artistic destinations, and visit museums. Special workshops, birthday parties, and private events can also be arranged.

Creativity flourishes when guided by knowledge—at The Little Art School, every student is encouraged to explore, express, and create.
